Obituary for William N. Black

William N. Black, 55, of Carlisle, PA, passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021, at UPMC Carlisle Hospital.

Born on September 1, 1966, in Harrisburg, PA, he is the son of Marion Louise (Gingrich) Knight and the late William Douglas Black.

William was a graduate of Central Dauphin High school. Following high school, he went on to attend Harrisburg Area Community College. William was a forklift operator for DHL in Carlisle. He loved music and recording his own music with his guitar, keyboard, and digital synthesizers. William was an excellent gardener. The thing he loved to do most was spend time with his family.

William is survived by his life partner of 29 years, Sherry J. Seibert, of Carlisle, PA; a son, Alex W. Black, of Carlisle, PA; a sister, Stephanie Reardon, of Lower Paxton, PA; a brother, Stephen M. Black, of New Buffalo, PA; a stepson, Robert Fry, of Silver Spring Twp., PA; a stepdaughter, Stephanie Fry, of Enola, PA; two step grandsons, Wyatt Fry and Cuyler Fisher; two step granddaughters, Addie Fry and Makenna Fisher; an uncle, Richard Gingrich and his wife Barbara, of Sun City Center, FL; and numerous cousins.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, GySgt Robert E. Knight, USMC Ret.

All funeral services will be private and handled at the convenience of the family. Myers-Baker Funeral & Cremation Services, Camp Hill, PA, has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
