Obituary for Ruth D. Dietz (Adams)
Ruth D. Dietz, 92, of Mechanicsburg, PA, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at UPMC West Shore Hospital, Mechanicsburg, PA.
Born on November 20, 1930, in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late, Francis H. and Florence (Schanz) Adams.
Ruth was a graduate of Olney High School in Philadelphia, PA. She was a dedicated homemaker and loving mother. She was a past employee of AT&T and the Millersburg Shoe Company and was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Camp Hill. Ruth was a very organized bookkeeper and had a gift for handling financial records and payroll. She was a former member and treasurer of the Camp Hill Women’s Club.
Ruth is survived by two sons, Donald L. Dietz and his wife Elsie, of Ridgefield, WA, and David A. Dietz and his wife Teresa, of Dunwoody, GA, a daughter, Lynn D. Dietz and her husband Grant Marshall, of Campbell, CA, a daughter-in-law Carey Holubar, six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald C. Dietz, a son, Mark Dietz, and a brother, Frank Adams.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2000 Chestnut St., Camp Hill, PA 17011. A visitation with Ruth’s family will be held in the church on Wednesday from 1:30 P.M. until the time of the service. Interment will be held following the service in the church columbarium.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, or to a charity of your choosing.
