Obituary for Patricia C. Campbell (Charles)
Patricia C. Campbell, 83, of Camp Hill, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020, surrounded by her three children.
Born on December 31, 1936 in Harrisburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Orpha (Wilbert) Charles. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Janet Becker.
Pat was a beloved mother who dedicated her life to her family and was adored by her children and everyone else who knew her. She attended all her children’s events, concerts, plays and graduations. This dedication continued into her grandchildren’s lives as well. Grandma Pat loved having them over for picnics, sleepovers and parties. Her whole family is beyond grateful for the home full of love she provided.
Pat was a graduate of William Penn High School. She retired as an administrative assistant for the PA Legislative Reference Bureau and also enjoyed her time working at Stephenson’s Flower shop. Pat was a member of the Camp Hill United Methodist Church and also previously Harris Street United Methodist Church. She had loved bowling for her team, “The Drifters”, alongside her mother and sister. She loved the outdoors, with gardening being one of her favorite hobbies. Pat carefully attended to her flower gardens, liked taking walks through her town, was an avid sports fan and enjoyed lunch dates with friends. Pat’s was a life well lived.
Pat is survived by a son, Jeff Campbell and his wife Rhonda, of Camp Hill; two daughters, Teresa Jones and her husband Sam, of Mechanicsburg; and Tracy McNiff and her husband Bill, of Marietta; a sister, Donna Kohr, of Harrisburg; seven granddaughters, one grandson, and one great granddaughter.
Due to the current pandemic restrictions all services will be postponed, and a celebration of Pat’s life will be held at a later date. Myers-Harner Funeral & Cremation Services, Camp Hill, has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
