Obituary for Michael J. Zapotocky
Michael J. Zapotocky, 85, of Camp Hill, died on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at his home.
Born March 26, 1935 in Mount Carmel, PA, he was the son of the late Michael and Johanna (Vasil) Zapotocky.
Michael attended Mount Carmel Catholic High School and was retired from Alcan Corp., Harrisburg. He was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Camp Hill; a member of Good Shepherd Knights of Columbus Council 10685 and the Fourth Degree Bishop J. W. Shanahan Assembly 917.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sister Virginia Zapotocky, SS. C.M.
He is survived by his wife, Rita; and his son and daughter-in-law, John and Shannon Zapotocky, of Mechanicsburg.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 29, 2020 in the Church of the Good Shepherd, Camp Hill, with Rev. Neil S. Sullivan as Celebrant. A viewing will be held in the church on Thursday from 12:00 P.M. until the time of the mass. Burial will be held immediately following the mass in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Mechanicsburg. Myers-Harner Funeral & Cremation Services, Camp Hill, has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 3435 E. Trindle Rd., Camp Hill, PA 17011 or to the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation, 4800 Jonestown Rd., Suite 102, Harrisburg, PA 17109.
