Obituary for Marion E Torchia (Archer)
Marion E. Torchia, 87, of Lemoyne, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at the Essex House, Lemoyne.
Born on August 6, 1933, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Daniel) Archer, and she was the widow of Henry Torchia.
Marion was a graduate of Calvin Brown High School of Winton, NC, in 1953. She was proud of her Native American heritage. She worked as a restaurant hostess. Marion was a member of the Christian Life Assembly, as well as the Red Hat Society. She liked walking and shopping in her free time and had a great love for travel.
She is survived by a son, William Torchia; three daughters, Connie Jones and her husband Barry, of New Providence; Sheila Thomas and her husband Charles, of Etters; and Donna Archer Runningwater, of Manchester; 10 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Larry Archer; and a sister, Shelma Jean Moore.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers: Winston, Otis, Cecil, and Arthur; and a sister, Nerie.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Emanuel Cemetery, 1168 Pinetown Rd., Lewisberry, PA, with Pastor Lee Hyman officiating. Myers-Harner Funeral & Cremation Services, Camp Hill, has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
