Obituary for Louise Husted (Brice)

Louise Brice Husted passed away on Monday, July 5, 2021, at Bridges at Bent Creek in Mechanicsburg. Louise joined her husband Blair, whose passing preceded hers by 22 years. Prior to moving to Bridges, she was a long-time resident of Camp Hill.
Louise is survived by her son Griff Husted (Elaine) of Camp Hill; her son Robert Husted also of Camp Hill; her daughter Ann Gormley of Mechanicsburg; and her daughter Susan Carroll (David) of Walpole, Massachusetts; grandchildren Jennifer Gormley, Jeffrey Gormley, Blair Carroll (Joshua), Brian Carroll, and Ben Davidson.
Louise was born in Cumberland, Maryland on November 2, 1927. She was the daughter of Albert and Ruth Brice who both pre-deceased her. She is also pre-deceased by her sister Ann Barnes and nephew Bruce Barnes. Louise was a 1945 graduate of Bedford High School. In 1949 she graduated from Penn State University where she was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority.
A stay-at-home mom most of her life, supporting all of her children’s and grandchildren’s activities and sports was one of her greatest joys. She loved reading and doing crossword puzzles.
Louise was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Camp Hill. She was also a member of the Junior League of Harrisburg and the Camp Hill Civic Club. Louise enjoyed her membership at the West Shore Country Club for many years.
All family and friends are invited to celebrate Louise’s life and share a toast in her memory at the West Shore Country Club on Friday, July 16 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A private interment will be held at the convenience of the family at the Camp Hill Cemetery. Myers-Baker Funeral & Cremation Services, Camp Hill, has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
