Obituary for Lois Marie Bricker (Wilhelm)
Lois Marie Bricker, 90, of Camp Hill, PA, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021. Born on July 10, 1931 in Fannettsburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harrison Brooks and Ruth Virgie (St. Clair) Wilhelm. Lois grew up on the family farm in Path Valley and attended Metal Township (now Fannett-Metal) High School, and was the last surviving member of the Class of 1949.
Lois was a homemaker; after her children were raised, she worked at the Harrisburg International Airport gift shop, the Navy Depot and Pomeroy’s jewelry department. She was a long time member of Christ Presbyterian Church, Camp Hill. Lois was passionately independent, living at home and tending to her flowers until her last days. Family was the centerpiece of her life and she was celebrated at a gathering for her 90th birthday.
Lois was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Carl, and infant daughter, Deborah. She is survived by three children: Steve (Darlene) of Columbus, IN, Brenda Kerwin (Michael) of West Orange, NJ and David (Michelle) of Medford, NJ along with grandchildren (Barry, Matthew, Meaghan, William, Christopher, and Shelby) and 2 great-grandchildren.
A service will be held at Myers-Baker Funeral home on Friday, October 8 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A viewing will be held for one hour prior from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at St. John’s Cemetery, 4605 E. Trindle Rd, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050.
