Obituary for Kevin Lynn Beatty

Kevin Lynn Beatty, 64, of Camp Hill, PA, passed away with his daughters by his side on August 8, 2021, at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was born on March 14, 1957, in Huntingdon, PA, to the late Betty June (Lybarger) and Leroy Newton Beatty.

After graduating from Juniata Valley High School in 1975, Kevin went on to join the U.S. Army and served from 1976 to 1980, and served in the U.S. Army Reserves for some years following. Upon leaving the military, Kevin pursued a number of careers. He worked as a fiberglass manufacturer in Huntingdon, drove for the Huntingdon County C.A.R.T., and was a commercial dump truck driver.

Kevin was known as a man who loved to serve others. He would buy toys every Christmas and donate them to Toys for Tots, and would always help anyone with their car or house repairs.

Kevin was an absolute car enthusiast, from loving to work on cars to going to car shows. He also loved to throw large BBQ parties with lots of food, and to always end them with a grand fireworks show. Kevin loved going to concerts, baseball games, and traveling. He also played golf for many years. But above all, Kevin loved spending time with his grandkids and his family.

Kevin is survived by three loving daughters: Heather (Beatty) Allison, and her husband Frank, of Camp Hill, PA; Randi Beatty, of Reedsville, PA; and his “bonus daughter” Ashley Goodwin, and her husband Kenny, of Camp Hill, PA; one brother: Craig S. Beatty, of Mechanicsburg, PA; one sister: Dee Ann Lentz, of Monroeville, PA; two grandchildren: Riley Banks, Brynley Allison; two “bonus grandchildren”: Davien and Derek Goodwin; six nephews: Craig S. Beatty, Jr., and his wife Ashley, of Summerville, SC; Timothy Beatty, of FL; Eric Beatty, of OH; Zach Beatty, of PA; Caleb Beatty, of PA; and Doug Lentz, of PA; and two Nieces: Alecia Lentz, of MI; and Jenna Beatty, of PA.

All services will be handled at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lebanon VA Eagle Heights Hospice Unit, c/o Lebanon VA Medical Center, 1700 S Lincoln Ave, Lebanon, PA 17042.
