John F. Stahl, 84, of Marysville, PA passed away peacefully on April 27, 2023, with his beloved wife and loyal dog at his side. He was born on November 29, 1938, in Altoona, PA, to the late John J. Stahl and Nellie (Boyer) Stahl. He was preceded in death by his sister Mary Lou Harrier.
John graduated from Altoona High School and attended The Pennsylvania State University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He went on to obtain a Master of Business Administration from Ball State University. He worked in various engineering and management roles for General Motors, Monroe Auto Equipment, R.E.Deitz, and Oxy-Catalyst before becoming a senior consultant for KW Tunnel. He concluded his professional career providing consulting services as the founder/owner of Delta Corp, Inc.
John was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Wanda, for 64 years. He was a loving father to his three children, David (Nancy) of State College, PA, Brian (Lisa) of Fogelsville, PA, and Julia Neumyer (Todd) of Harrisburg, PA. He adored his grandchildren, Katie, Matt, Zack (Jena), Becca, Nate, Jake, Michael, and Olivia. He was known for his kind heart, infectious smile, and his willingness to always lend a helping hand.
John was a lifetime member of the Christian & Missionary Alliance church, most recently attending Discover Church of Camp Hill, where he served as a Sunday School teacher, Trustee, and Elder. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife and exploring new places, especially places associated with his family heritage. He was a resident of Marysville, PA for 20 years where he served for a number of years as a Township Supervisor for Rye Township.
John will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him including his dog, Tater Tot. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and generosity.
A funeral service will be held on May 13, 2023, at the Myers-Baker Funeral Home, 1903 Market Street, Camp Hill PA. Interment will be at Rolling Green Cemetery in Camp Hill, PA. Visitation will begin at 12:30-1:30PM. The funeral service will commence at 1:30PM.
