Obituary for Jacob Joseph Kiraly

Jacob Joseph Kiraly, 35, of Port Trevorton, PA, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022, in Liverpool, PA.

Born on March 13, 1987, in Altoona, PA, he is the son of William and Melinda (Phillips) Agnew, of Cape Coral, FL.

Jacob was a graduate of Cumberland Valley Vo-tech School. He is a veteran of the US Marines Corps. As a Corporal in the Marines, he served two tours of duty in Iraq and was a mechanic that worked on F-18’s on the USS Enterprise. Jacob was employed as the Lead Mechanic at Firestone Complete Auto Care in Harrisburg. When he was not working, Jacob loved to spending time with his family and playing with his children. He had an appreciation for all types of automobiles. He enjoyed fishing and had a love for animals. His family and friends would describe Jacob by saying, “He was everybody’s best friend.”

In addition to his parents, Jacob is survived by his wife of 8 years, Ashley (Barlow) Kiraly, of Port Trevorton, PA; his four children, Aria, Arlen, Asher, and Ahmya Kiraly; a brother, Scott Reed, of Duncannon, PA; two step-brothers, Joey Agnew and Tom Agnew, both of Marysville, PA; an uncle, Ed Phillips and his wife Judy, of Eliot, ME; and an aunt, Belinda Zauzig and her husband Jim, of Huntingdon, PA.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Heather M. Kiraly.

A celebration of Jacob’s life will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 6, 2022, in the Myers-Baker Funeral Home, 1903 Market St., Camp Hill, PA. A visitation with Jacob’s family will be held in the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until the start of the celebration service. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, 60 Indiantown Gap Rd, Annville, PA 17003. All family and friends are invited to attend the graveside service. Please meet directly at the cemetery on Tuesday at 11:15 A.M.
