Obituary for Geraldine K Gamber (Kylor)

Geraldine K. Gamber, 98, of Mechanicsburg, PA, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at Bethany Village, Mechanicsburg.

Born on July 9, 1924, in Mifflin County, she was the daughter of William D. and Martha L. (Locke) Kylor, and she was the widow of Frank M. Gamber.

Geraldine was a registered nurse. She as a former cadet nurse with the US Military. She retired from Poly Clinic Hospital in Harrisburg with 29 years of employment. She was a longtime member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Camp Hill. She was a volunteer for the West Shore Meals on Wheels, the Ecumenical Food Pantry, and the Camp Hill Fire Co. Women’s Auxiliary.

She is survived by her son, David J. Gamber, of Shippensburg, PA, a grandson, Michael Butler, of California, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband Frank, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ann E. Kylor, and her brother, Martin L. Kylor.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2000 Chestnut St., Camp Hill, PA. A private interment will be held at the convenience of the family in the church’s columbarium.
