Obituary for Elizabeth A. Burns (Ibach)

Elizabeth A. Burns, 85,a long time resident of the West Shore area, passed away on Monday, May 29, 2023, at Juniper Village at Bucks Co., Bensalem, PA.

Born on December 28, 1937, in Pottsville, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Catherine (Whalen) Ibach, and she was the widow of Robert E. Burns. Betty graduated from Pottsville Catholic School with the Class of 1955. After high school, Betty married the love of her life and was a wonderful mother to her children. Betty loved to travel and she was alway up for a good party. Betty’s grandchildren were the sunshine of her life.

Prior to her retirement, Betty was a retail sales clerk. She was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Camp Hill.

She is survived by one daughter, Debbie Davis and her husband Russell, of Bensalem, PA; one son, Robert Burns, five grandchildren: Shawn Davis and his wife Sarah, of North Wales, PA, Kevin Davis and his wife Aubrey DiCrecchio, of Oreland, PA, Ryan Davis and his fiance Mackenzie Murray, of Langhorne, PA, Carly Burns and her fiance Matt Brekosky and Nina Burns, Both of Dillsburg, PA; two great-grandsons, Liam Davis, of North Wales PA and Roman Davis of Oreland, PA ; four nephews: Skip Sheriff, Ted Burns, Michael Burns, and Gregory Lewis; and three nieces: Kathy Killea, Valerie Kestner and Traci Sievenipiper. Betty was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Sheriff.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 10, 2023, in the Church of the Good Shepherd, 3435 Trindle Rd, Camp Hill, PA, with Rev. Neil Sullivan as Celebrant. Interment will be held following the mass in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill, PA. Myers-Baker Funeral & Cremation Services, Camp Hill, has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Heart Association.
