Obituary for Catherine Elizabeth "Cat" Hartman
Catherine (Cat) Elizabeth Hartman, 51, of Camp Hill, passed away suddenly on June 26, 2021. Born July 16, 1969 she was predeceased by her mother, the late Sue C. Hartman. Surviving are her father, J. Dale Hartman of Camp Hill; siblings Kim M. Getz (Kenneth Jr.), Sheree Hartman, and Jay D. Hartman; nieces Kathryn (Katie) Getz, Natasha Hartman; nephews Joey Hartman, Jay D. Hartman Jr. Also, several great nieces and nephews: Kody, Austin, Kaylin, Kaiden, Kelsi, Jaylynn and Ethan. Her dog and best buddy Achilles also mourns her loss.
She was employed by WellSpan of York, Pa as a traveling nurse, having graduated in nursing from Armstrong Atlantic State University. Previously she was a conservation horticulturist at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. She studied horticulture therapy at the Horticulture Institute. She had degrees from HACC in photography and journalism. Cat was a 1987 graduate of Cedar Cliff high school. She loved nature and the outdoors, camping hiking and kayaking especially gardening and planting putting her skills in horticulture to good use. She deeply cared for all living things, even cicadas! Cat will be sorely missed by all who knew her giving and loving spirit.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 16, 2021, at Myers-Baker Funeral Home, 1903 Market St, Camp Hill, PA, with food and fellowship to follow.
