Obituary for Carol Ann McCreary (Wrightstone)
Carol Ann McCreary, 77, of New Cumberland, PA, passed away on Sunday June 14, 2020 at UPMC Memorial Hospital, York, PA.
Born on January 24, 1943 in Harrisburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Monroe and Lavina (Brooks) Wrightstone.
Carol was a member of the first graduating class of Cedar Cliff High School. She was a retired Technical Advisor from the Original Blue Shield Health Insurance company. Carol loved traveling and spending time with her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed bowling and gambling at the casino’s.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Larry K. McCreary, of New Cumberland, PA; a son, Larry K. McCreary, Jr. and his wife Elizabeth, of Trappe, PA; two daughters, Cynthia Nichols and her husband Mace, of Windsor, PA; and Lori K. Bowers and her husband Robert Jr., of Dillsburg, PA; a sister, Wanda Gelbaugh and her husband Glenn, of Camp Hill, PA; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Joyce Morrison, Beverly Arnold, and Diana Atchley, and one brother, Monroe Wrightstone, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 19, 2020 in the Myers-Harner Funeral Home, 1903 Market St., Camp Hill, PA. A viewing will be held in the funeral home on Thursday June 18th from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and also on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Burial will be held immediately following the service in Tri-County Memorial Gardens, Lewisberry, PA.
