Obituary for Beverly Constance Werner (Watts)

Beverly Constance (Watts) Werner, 85, of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023, at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill, Pennsylvania.

Born on March 13, 1938, in Montclair, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Graham and Alethea (Poecker) Watts.

Beverly was a graduate of Hollins College for Women in Hollins, Virginia where she studied theater. She was employed by the Hartford Insurance Company for 13 years. She was also employed as a part time travel agent at Pan World Travel in York. Upon retirement Beverly and her husband traveled extensively through the Caribbean Islands, and parts of Europe, including Scotland. She enjoyed sewing, reading, classic movies and classical music. Beverly was also very fond of nature and animals.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Roger O. Werner, of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, a daughter, Wendy L. Prescott and her husband Don, of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, a sister, Wendy Flinchbaugh and her husband Jim, of York, Pennsylvania, two step-daughters, Heidi Mountford and her husband Tommy, of Newton, New Jersey, Alice Tanchel and her husband Andy, of Stevensville, Maryland, and a step-son, Glenn Werner and his wife Wendy, of Brandon, Florida, and two nephews Jamie Flinchbaugh and his wife Jill, of Riegelsville, PA, and Michael Flinchbaugh and his wife Keri, of Greenville North Carolina. She is also survived by numerous children of nephews and step children.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 28, 2023, in Mt. Rose Cemetery, 1502 Mt Rose Ave, York, Pennsylvania, with Rev. Eric Hilleges officiating. All who attend are asked to please meet directly at the cemetery. Myers-Baker Funeral & Cremation Services, Camp Hill, has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
