Obituary for Betty G. Wade (Gantt)

Betty June Gantt Wade, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend passed away Wednesday, July 26th, 2023. Born June 7th, 1923, Betty recently celebrated her 100th birthday with her closest loved ones.
Raised on a farm near Mannsville, Perry County as one of nine children, Betty cherished her life-long values of faith and family. She was a graduate of New Bloomfield High School and Central Penn Business College and worked at The Pennsylvania Department of Revenue, Capital Blue Cross, and The Hospital Association of Pennsylvania. Betty was a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church Camp Hill, a volunteer with West Shore Meals on Wheels, and a sharp bridge player.
Betty will live on in the lives and memories of her children, Elizabeth Ross and husband Tom, Joseph Snyder and wife Inez, and John Snyder and wife Shelby; her grandchildren, Laura Hottenstein and husband Jordan, Anthony Ross and wife Shelley, Megan Johns and husband Brian, Andrew Ross and wife Candis, and Ilsa Doremus and husband Chad; and seven (soon to be eight) great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Snyder, and second husband, George Wade Jr., her parents McKinley and Mossalene Gantt, and her siblings, David Gantt, Jesse Gantt, Robert Gantt, Allison Shott, Edith Redding, Lilian Smith, Richard “Al” Gantt, and Roberta Butler.
Funeral services will be held at 11am on Saturday, August 5th at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Camp Hill preceded by an informal greeting and followed by a reception in the church gathering space. Inurnment will be in the church columbarium.
