Anna Jane White (“Jane”), 93, of Mechanicsburg, PA, formerly of East Waterford, PA, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at her home in Mechanicsburg.
Born September 16, 1927 in Mifflintown, PA, she is the daughter of the late J. Glen Varnes and Rebecca E. (Weaver) Varnes.
After attending high school in Mifflintown, PA, Jane attended Shippensburg University where she received her degree in education and enjoyed substitute teaching for many years. She was also a member of the United Methodist Church in East Waterford, PA and cherished being the church organist and a Sunday school teacher.
Jane is survived by her beloved children, George R. White, and wife, Shawnee of East Waterford, PA, Brenda J. White of Mechanicsburg, PA, and Nancy White Vencil and husband, Scott, of Mechanicsburg, PA. She is also survived by three beloved grandchildren and three beloved great grandchildren, and her precious and lively Shitz Zu dog, Zoey.
Jane was preceded by her late husband of 57 years and “the love of her life”, Raymond Earl White, also of East Waterford, PA.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and she will be deeply missed and remain in our hearts forever!
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 P. M., Thursday, October 15th, 2020 at the East Waterford Cemetery, East Waterford, PA.
Flowers will be accepted for the Graveside Service at Myers-Harner Funeral Home, 1903 Market Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011; or in lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Billy Graham Association or the Salvation Army.
