Obituary for Andre R. Green

Andre R. Green, 57, of Camp Hill, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022, at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital, Harrisburg, PA.

Born on July 10, 1965, in Chicago, IL, he was the son of Rosa (Johnigan) Serino-Hall, of Camp Hill, PA, and Lawrence Cole, of the Dominican Republic.

Andre was a truck driver for over 30 years. He was last employed with KR Freight Way, Fresno, CA. He was a former security guard in Los Angeles, working for both the Museum of Art and Color by Deluxe. Andre was very intelligent. He loved to read and travel. He enjoyed music, stepping, watching movies, cooking for his family, and playing video games with his children. He was a true family man. He loved to collect various items he would discover during his trucking trips.

In addition to his mother Rosa and father Lawrence, Andre is survived by a daughter, Andrea (Dean) Johnson, four sons; Ashauntae, Antwonee, Akaunyee Green, and Andre Green, Jr., and their mother, Lilleth Green, all of San Bernadino, CA, four brothers; Guyando Cooley and his wife Corressa, Charles Washington, Jr, Antonio F. Washington, and Antwaun Washington, nine sisters; Kym Hobbs (Cole), Sophia Green, Rosa Green, Monique Bellamy and her husband Darryl, of Carlisle, PA, Letitia Hameen and her husband Jamal, Aisha Askew, Shirley McCapline, Latatia S. Washington, and Kim Chapman, six grandchildren, and his good friend and caregiver, who he loved dearly, Suzy Mary Branea, of Camp Hill, PA.

He was preceded in death by his wife, April Green, his son, Anton V. Dean, and grandmothers, Mildred Pollard, Colleen Cole.

Funeral services for Andre will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, January 9, 2023, in the Myers-Baker Funeral Home, 1903 Market St., Camp Hill, PA 17011. A viewing will be held in the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Burial will be held following the service in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill, PA.

In lieu of flowers, Andre’s family has asked that financial contributions be made to the funeral home, to assist with the cost of funeral services. This can be done by mailing a check directly to the funeral home or by using a credit card over the phone.
