Obituary for Alan Joseph Abramczyk

Alan Joseph Abramczyk, 61, of Harrisburg, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2020 at his home.
Born on March 18, 1959 in Erie, PA, he was the son of Alois W. and Margaret A. Abramczyk, of Camp Hill.
Alan was a graduate of the Harrisburg Area Community College with a degree in Fire Science Technology. He worked in the insurance industry for over 30 years. Alan achieved the insurance industry’s Senior Claims Law Associate (SCLA) designation during his career. He was a member of the Harrisburg Claims Association where he served on multiple executive board positions. He was a member of the Order of Sons and Daughters of Italy In America, Lodge # 2857 in Harrisburg; and the American Legion, Post 730, in Penbrook. Alan was a coach for numerous Lawnton Athletic Association teams in the 1990’s and early 2000’s.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sons, A.J. Abramczyk and his wife Megan, of Harrisburg; and Kyle Abramczyk, of Harrisburg; a brother, Jon Abramczyk and his wife Jennifer, of Wilmington, DE; two sisters, Andrea Rosten and her husband Robert, of Harrisburg; and Erin Sarsfield and her husband Robert, of Hershey; his loving partner, Beth Achenbach, of Harrisburg; and several nieces and nephews.
All funeral services for Alan will be private and burial will be handled at the convenience of his family in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Mechanicsburg.
In lieu of a memorial contribution, Alan’s family requests that you perform an act of random kindness to help someone less fortunate, in honor of Alan’s kindness towards others.
